Registration is ongoing for racers planning to compete in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series during the 2022 calendar year and/or the 9th Annual Summit USRA Nationals this October at the Lucas Ol Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
The cost of a USRA Competitor License will increase by $20 on March 1.
All competitors must possess a USRA Competitor License or USRA Temporary License to participate in a USRA-sanctioned event. Drivers competing in USRA-sanctioned events are eligible to earn track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series from Jan. 1 through Oct. 30, 2022.
Online registration is available at usraracing.com/register. Alternatively, you can download the USRA license application at usraracing.com/downloads and mail a check with your completed form.
During the Summit USRA Nationals (October 3-8), all drivers must possess a USRA Competitor License (no temps), and track and regional points will not be awarded at any racetrack that week. National points will be awarded at the Summit USRA Nationals only and each competitor will earn 100 bonus national points.
The cost of a USRA Competitor License for the 2022 calendar year is $130 for USRA Modifieds; $110 for Medieval USRA Stock Cars and Late Models; $100 for USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and Limited Mods; and $60 for USRA Tuners.
Please note that online credit and debit card transactions include a $5 processing fee. If you wish to avoid this charge, download the USRA license application from the USRA website and mail a check with your completed form.
Drivers must purchase a USRA Competitor License on or before June 30 or will get just one-half of the points funds the driver is eligible for.
Those racers who do not purchase a USRA Competitor License may obtain a $10 temp license at the racetrack on race day. The temp license is valid for one (1) event only. Drivers opting to purchase a temp license will earn the same points as those with a USRA Competitor License. The purchase of a temp license does not apply toward the cost of a USRA Competitor License if one is purchased later.
To be eligible for national points funds, a driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at any one USRA-sanctioned racetrack (minimum of 8 events with a minimum of 4 starts). To be eligible for track points funds, driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at that racetrack for which the points funds are being awarded.
