The Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway hosted the 15th Annual Webster City Wrangler on Friday with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series in action along with the USMTS Modifieds.
The Seneca Foundry USRA Stock Cars saw Myles Michehl of Fort Dodge find the winner’s circle for the first time this season to extend his points lead in the division.
Polesitter Craig Berhow of Belmond was second, followed by Webster City’s Reid Keller, Bill Crimmins of Fort Dodge and Jason Minnehan of Churdan.
Ty Griffith of Webster City rolled to his fourth Stein Heating & Cooling USRA B-Mod win in five tries Saturday night, but his trip to victory lane was anything but easy as former USRA B-Mod national champion Brandon Hare of Elma made a late run at the leader but came up just a few feet short at the checkered flag.
Otho’s Brandon Toftee took third, Josh Appel of Garner was fourth and the fifth spot went to Doug McCollough of Webster City.
Zack Smidt was all smiles after winning the Diamond in the Rough USRA Hobby Stock feature race as the driver from Mason City held off points leader Bryce Sommerfeld of Fort Dodge for the top prize.
Tanner Green of Hampton took home a third-place paycheck while Fort Dodge wheelmen Jeremy Crimmins and Riley Crimmins rounded out the top five after starting ninth and tenth, respectively.
Also nabbing his fourth win of the year, Jade Lange of Humboldt cruised in the MyRacePass USRA Tuners with Desiree Sells of Fort Dodge finishing in the runner-up position.
