Bob Flaws Memorial this Saturday at Hamilton County Speedway

This Saturday, May 22, the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway will host the Bob Flaws Memorial Race presented by Pepsi Beverage Co.

Seneca Foundry USRA Stock Cars will be gunning for $2,000 to win and $400 to start while Diamond in the Rough USRA Hobby Stocks will hash it out for a $750 top prize.

Olsen Family USRA Modifieds, Stein Heating & Cooling USRA B-Mods and MyRacePass USRA Tuners are also on tap during the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series program.

Chuck-A-Duck jackpot now $1,400: For just $1 you can try your luck at a huge jackpot in the Jerry Goebel State Farm Chuck-A-Duck. Fans will have an opportunity to chuck their duck into a jackpot hula hoop this Saturday night, May 22, for a chance to win $1,400.

Ducks can be purchased just south of the ticket booth inside the grandstand gate. All duck sales will end before the last heat race or "B" Main before intermission.

Car show coming June 12: Drivers and race fans, save the date for Saturday, June 12, as Karl Chevrolet Buick GMC of Webster City will host a car show at the Karl Chevrolet dealership from 1 to 3 p.m.

All types of cars are welcome to attend. No registration or entry fee. More details to be released soon.

Opening in July 1910, the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The semi-banked half-mile dirt track was completed in the spring of 1939, and the first races were held on the track in September of that year.

The racetrack is located off US 20 at exit 140, then 1.2 miles north, then 0.5 mile east on Bank St., then 0.4 mile south on Bluff St. to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City, Iowa.
