The return of the USRA Iron Man Stock Car Series event for both Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, have been canceled due to cold and rain.

"Another 1.6 inches fell at Hamilton County Speedway last night, and no drying weather today," said promoter Todd Staley. "We will move the Iron Man event on Sunday to next Sunday to tie in with the other two races to make it a three-race weekend."

That means the next stop for the KS Engineering USRA Iron Man Stock Car Series driven by Terminator Chassis will happen next Friday, May 2, at the Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, Minn.

After that, the full-fendered four-wheelin' road warriors will trek from the Martin County Fairgrounds to the Sports Park Raceway, Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Saturday, May 3.

Rounding out the three-headed monster next weekend will be a Sunday show to the North Iowa Fairgrounds for a battle at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa.

Each race will pay $1,200 to win.

Opening in July 1910, the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The semi-banked half-mile dirt track was completed in the spring of 1939, and the first races were held on the track in September of that year.

The Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway is located off US 20 at exit 140, then 1.2 miles north, then 0.5 mile east on Bank St., then 0.4 mile south on Bluff St. to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City, Iowa. The physical address is 1200 Bluff St, Webster City, IA 50595.

Abbey tops the standings with 286 points and one win. Jaylen Wettengel of Topeka, Kan., is second with 266 points, followed by Derek Green of Granada, Minn. (257), Rodney Schweizer of Kansas City, Kan. (255) and Iowa native Pat Graham of Ankeny (229).
