Road to riches goes through Hamilton County Speedway, Mason City Motor Speedway

May 5, 2023

The Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, and Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, are both in action this weekend as drivers continue to chase massive nightly payouts and points funds during the 2023 campaign.

In addition to each track's inflated points funds and Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national and regional points funds, the four premier USRA-sanctioned classes at both racetracks will be combined into one dual track points fund in 2023 and based on 30 point nights between the two tracks.

After 30 races, drivers will start eliminating their worst points nights regardless of which track it is at. The dual track points fund, which includes USRA-sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks at both tracks, is as follows: 1. $3000, 2. $2000, 3. $1500, 4. $1000, 5. $900, 6. $800, 7. $700, 8. $600, 9. $500, 10. $400, 11-15. $300.

The dual track points fund is in addition to the colossal track points fund at each facility. At each venue, the Modified track points fund is as follows: 1. $2000, 2. $1000, 3. $700, 4. $600, 5. $500, 6. $400, 7. $350, 8. $300, 9-10. $250. Stock Cars, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks points funds are as follows for each class: 1. $1000, 2. $700, 3. $600, 4. $500, 5. $400, 6. $350, 7. $300, 8. $250, 9. $225, 10. $200.

All events at each racetrack will award Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national, regional and track points. Track points are based on your best thirteen (13) points nights at each track. This allows you to miss an event and still be able to run for a top-10 finish. Point funds are guaranteed as long as 13 events are held at that track.

The points funds are paid out to drivers who compete in at least 50% of the events at the track and possess a full USRA license at usraracing.com/register or by calling (515) 832-6000.
